Kendra Farrow, Project Director for the Older Individuals who are Blind Technical Assistance Center (OIB-TAC), represented the NRTC and OIB-TAC at the VisionServe Alliance CEO Summit on March 26-29 in Austin, Texas. This summit provided leaders the opportunity to address issues impacting organizations in the vision loss field and to collaborate on innovations that significantly improve the lives of people who are blind or have low vision (B/LV).
Focused on Celebrating Innovation, the summit included workshops, exhibits, and networking opportunities. Farrow was able to share information about the NRTC and meet with many professionals in the field to increase the visibility of our resources.
Farrow appreciates opportunities like this to engage with other professionals in the field and discuss services for B/LV individuals nationally. She says summits like this “help the NRTC share our resources but also obtain ideas from other agencies in the field and find ways that we can all work together.”
