Jamie O’Mally

Dr. Jamie O’Mally is an Assistant Research Professor at the National Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision (NRTC) at Mississippi State University. Dr. O’Mally earned a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Alabama and has been employed at the NRTC since 2011. In her role at the NRTC, Dr. O’Mally conducts research that seeks to improve employment outcomes for transition-age youth with visual impairments, including a nationwide longitudinal mentoring project funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. Dr. O’Mally also conducts statewide program evaluations, consumer needs assessments, and she is currently leading a project funded by the Social Security Administration that uses linked data to explore employment outcomes among transition-age SSI beneficiaries with blindness.
