NRTC Attends KTER's 2019 State of the Science Conference
NRTC research team members, Adele Crudden and Emily Damm, attended the 12th Annual Summit on Performance Management Excellence on September 4-6 in Portland, Maine. The Summit included workshops, interactive presentations, and roundtable discussions on topics ranging from discussions of current best practices to assessing the future needs of consumers.
Crudden, a researcher for the NRTC, appreciated the opportunity to engage in discussions about emerging trends in the evaluation of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) programs. She was particularly interested in the discussion of the data that VR programs will use to tell their stories and how that data informs VR service delivery.
Damm, the NRTC Communication Specialist, attended the Knowledge Translation for Employment Research track. This track was developed to showcase strategies to help VR agencies find, understand, and use research. She enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about knowledge brokering and is excited to “find comprehensive ways to apply those strategies to our work here at the NRTC.”
