NRTC Exhibits at Career Expo

Career Expo logo

Members of the NRTC staff return for a second year to exhibit during “Imagine the Possibilities,” a career expo designed to help eighth-grade students from across northeast Mississippi explore career pathways. The expo provides an interactive experience, where over 7,000 students connect with education and workforce professionals to learn about available jobs, necessary training and education, and other career information.

There is a critical need, in Mississippi and nationwide, for professionals who are trained and certified to work in the field of blindness and visual impairment. The NRTC hopes to build awareness of opportunities available, as students establish future education and career goals.

The career expo will be held at BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo on Oct. 3-5 and is open to the public on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 2-5 p.m. The expo is sponsored by the Toyota Wellspring Education Fund at CREATE Foundation, the oldest community foundation in Mississippi.
