LeJeune attends RSA Employment Conference

Christine Ha, winner of MasterChef, posing with her white cane.

BJ LeJeune recently attended the biennial Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) Employment Conference held in Arlington VA. The focus of the conference was for policy makers and rehabilitation personnel from around the county to come together to consider how to rethink, realign, and reinvent VR services to improve employment outcomes for persons with disabilities in the new economy. An excellent group of speakers addressed difficult and challenging issues. One highlight was from the winner of MasterChef , Christine Ha. Christine, who is blind, shared her personal story, and how Texas Department of Rehabilitation Services went the extra mile by thinking outside the box to restore her confidence and provide her with the skills she needed to win MasterChef and pursue a degree in journalism at the University of Houston.
