O’Mally Presents at NFB Convention

Dr. Jamie O’Mally attended the National Federation of the Blind’s (NFB) national convention in Dallas, TX during the first week of July. The NFB is a membership organization for people who are blind or visually impaired, and the convention is a time for members to get together and network, and also learn about new resources and technologies available to them. Dr. O’Mally was eager to attend her first national convention where she connected with NFB members and had the opportunity to speak at the division meetings for the National Association of Blind Students (NABS) and the NFB Employment Committee. At these meetings, Dr. O’Mally presented information about various NRTC programs and resources including the Employment Mentoring Project , the Participant Registry for Blindness and Low Vision Research, and Career Advantage for VIPs .
