The NRTC would like to welcome Polly Abbott as the Project Manager for the Independent Living Services Older Individuals who are Blind Technical Assistance Center (IL OIB-TAC). Polly has an extensive history in the blindness field, working as a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist for over twenty years. Polly is a native Canadian and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Honors from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Education and Teacher of French as a Second Language from Nipissing University.
Polly’s extensive experience with vision loss will make her an asset to the IL OIB-TAC team. She will utilize her knowledge of blindness rehabilitation to support the IL OIB-TAC in course planning, redesign of the Community of Practice website, and training activities.
