Rehabilitation Research and Training Center
on Blindness and Low Vision
Information and Resource Referral Project
General Information
The Information and Resource Referral (I&RR) Project is the outreach arm of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision at Mississippi State University. The purpose of the Project is to develop a comprehensive, totally accessible database of on-line resources, and thus provide information about blindness and low vision to consumers and professionals. In addition, there is a toll-free telephone access for those who may not have Internet access or who would like additional information.
The Information and Resource Referral Center (I&RR) Project receives inquiries from consumers, rehabilitation services providers, researchers, family members, students, and professionals including medical, legal, educational and psychological personnel on topics ranging from where to find a guide dog school to providing current legislative contacts.
The Database System on the Internet can be accessed from the I&RR Home Page through the "Information and Networks" Link icon. The database is divided into pages on specific topics such as colleges, diabetes, sports, employment, aging, technology, state programs. In addition, the site can be searched through a search engine. If you have difficulty find specific information please contact B. J. LeJeune, Project Coordinator for more assistance.
